First, plastic borders look great. Second, they're virtually maintenance free. Third, unlike wood, plastic borders have no splinters. You don't need any expertise or special tools
to do a professional-looking job. They're
also easy to move and re-install. Plastic borders help to contain playground surfacing (like woodchips) in a defined area. Finally, they create a visually-pleasing border to any area.
The colors available depend on the length of the plastic border that you need.
• 4-foot long borders, 6 inches high -- brown
• 4-foot long borders, 8 inches high -- black
• 4-foot long borders, 9 inches high -- blue, green, red, black, yellow
• 4-foot long borders, 12 inches high -- blackand green. Other colors may be special ordered. In black, two grades are available: Prime Quality and Standard Quality.
• 6-foot long borders (12 inches high) -- black (standard) and green. Other colors may be special ordered.
Our plastic borders are made from hollow polyethylene that has ribs molded in
for strength. There are three S-shaped supports connected together inside each 12" tall plastic border. We stand behind many of our 4-foot plastic borders with a 10-year warranty. Compare that with other manufacturers, who offer three year coverage, at most.
To fix the timbers in place, overlap the
ends of two plastic borders then insert the 30-inch spike vertically into the top of the border and slide it through until it touches the ground. Then drive the spike into the ground using a mallet or sledgehammer, and presto ... a durable, attractive border for your play area or garden! (Each 4' border comes with 1 spike; each 6' timber comes with 2.)
Plastic borders are available in the following dimensions:
• lengths: 4 feet or 6 feet
• width: All plastic borders are 4 inches wide.
• heights:4-foot borders are available 9 inches high (colors: blue, green, red, yellow, black), or 12 inches high (black or colored).
• weights: 4-foot borders weigh 12 lbs. each (12" height) or 8 lbs. each (9" height).
